Would You Like to Feel Better?

Stop Guessing. Get Tested.

To provide an idea of the diagnostic testing we recommend in our programs,  below are the most often recommended labs.  You will see the testing (and the interpretation) is a lot different than what is done in traditional medicine.   Of course, testing varies with each person’s unique case:

  1. Comprehensive blood work – most patients are suprised by how much we analyze through blood work.
  2. Adrenal Stress Profile (a salivary test that measures the regulation of your most important stress hormone, corisol)
  3. The GI-Map  (a stool test that assesses GI health)
  4. The Organic Acids Profile (a urine test for nutritional deficiencies, detoxification problems, carb, fat and protein metabolism issues, neurotransmitter markers, and energy production problems).

COMPREHENSIVE BLOODWORK

We want to understand your entire physiology.   We test blood sugar, insulin, A1C, complete thyroid panels (at least 6 markers), sex hormones, inflammatory markers, key nutrients and iron status.

ADRENAL STRESS PROFILE (salivary test)

How stressed are you?   We know that is a hard question to answer.   The Adrenal Stress Profile measures your main stress hormone, cortisol.    Normal levels of cortisol are needed by every system in your body.    Cortisol has a major effect on:

      • Energy
      • Sleep
      • Metabolism
      • Thyroid function
      • Sex hormone balance
      • Anti-inflammatory response
      • Resistance to stress
      • Restistance to disease
      • Emotonal states
      • General sense of well-being
      • Bone and muscle tissue
      • Cardiovascular function
      •  Weight control
      • Glucose regulation
      • Immune defense
      • Aging
      • Chronic fatigue
      • Menstrual problems
      • Menopause symptoms
      • Allergies
      • Arthritis
      • Depression
      • Anxiety
      • Insulin resistance
      • Brain Health (focus, ADD)

GI TESTING (The GI-Map stool test)

Many sources of inflammation and stress are hidden in the GI tract.  A chronic, low-level gut infection might be a major trigger behind your fatigue, weight gain, hormone imbalance or immune dysfunction.   Chronic GI infections are also possible triggers of auotimmune diseases.

Balancing gut bacteria (the microbiome) is key for improving core gastrointestinal functions, such as digestion and absorption of nutrients, as well as metabolic functions. Poor digestion and malabsorption may impact immune function, optimum nutritional status, and mood.

The GI-Map utilizes state-of-the-art genetic testing that tests for a variety of possible infections and imbalances.   It provides GI health markers – enzyme levels, absorption screening, inflammatory markers, gluten reactions, immune function and very importantly, a test for damage to the GI lining (leaky gut).  Leaky gut is a situation that fuels chronic systemic inflammation.

THE ORGANIC ACIDS PROFILE (urine test)

The Organix® Comprehensive Profile is a nutritional test that provides insights into organic acids and a view into the body’s cellular metabolic processes. Identifying metabolic blocks that can be treated nutritionally allows individual tailoring of interventions that maximize patient responses and lead to improved patient outcomes.

Organic acids are metabolic intermediates that are produced in pathways of central energy production, detoxification, neurotransmitter breakdown, or intestinal microbial activity. Marked accumulation of specific organic acids detected in urine often signals a metabolic inhibition or block. The metabolic block may be due to a nutrient deficiency, an inherited enzyme deficit, toxic build-up or drug effect. Several of the biomarkers are markers of intestinal bacterial or yeast overgrowth.

The Organix® Comprehensive nutritional test profile provides vital patient information from a single urine specimen. This organic acids nutritional test is valuable for determining:

  • Functional vitamin and mineral status
  • Amino acid insufficiencies like carnitine and NAC
  • Oxidative damage and antioxidant need
  • Phase I & Phase II detoxification capacity
  • Functional B-complex vitamin need
  • Neurotransmitter metabolites
  • Mitochondrial energy production
  • Methylation sufficiency
  • Lipoic acid and CoQ10 status
  • Markers for bacterial and yeast overgrowth

Organic Acids and Clinical Solutions

This full review of your biochemical status and metabolic pathway flow can help identify areas of greatest concern.  Follow-up nutritional testing can monitor the effectiveness of selected treatments.

The Organix® Comprehensive nutritional test is ideal for patients who may suffer from:

  • Low Energy
  • Weight issues
  • Sleep abnormalities
  • Depression
  • Chemical Sensitivities
